Q: |
Are classes offered? |
A: |
We do not have a traditional class structure. We've chosen to create a self-directed learning environment using resources and activities and allow our kids the freedom to explore, collaborate, and problem-solve. That being said, we do offer a weekly study and discussion on a nature-focused topic, and parents and students are welcome to offer classes, activities, or field trips that they feel would enrich our group.

Q: |
Are you religiously affiliated? |
A: |
No, we are a secular group that welcomes diversity in belief systems!
|
Q: |
What does "Sudbury-inspired" mean? |
A: |
For us it means creating an environment where kids and parents have equal contribution to shaping the evolution of our group. It also means that agreed upon rules are compassionately enforced by the group, rather than by one authority figure. While applying the concept to a homeschool co-op is a bit different than to a school, this quick video should help clarify! |
Q: |
What does a typical co-op day look like? |
A: |
Update for Summer Session 2025 - summer session will meet at various parks for hiking, play, and small activities. |
Q: |
Can I drop my kids off? |
A: |
We're not a drop-off group, however we understand that schedules don't always mesh, and things come up. We just ask that if you can't make it to the meet-up, that you have made arrangements with another adult to be responsible for your kids while you're gone. |
Q: |
Are there age limits? |
A: |
Nope! Any and all homeschoolers are welcome - pre-homeschoolers, too!
